Pin Comments to Top of Thread

Last Updated: Jul 20, 2016 08:41AM PDT

What does "Pin this comment on top of the thread" do?

When a Moderator comments on an Idea, the new entry is typically displayed in-line with other comments. However, if you click "Pin this comment on top of the thread" the comment will be displayed above all the existing comments.

The Moderator is the only class of users able to use this function. However, a pinned comment will be visible to all members of the community.

Moderator's comment is displayed above all other comments as shown in screenshot below.

Administrator of the community will see "Pinned Moderator" to the comment pinned on top of the thread.

Moderators  of the community will see "Moderator" to the comment pinned on top of the thread.

Please note: The words 'Pinned Moderator' will be visible to the administrators and "Moderators" to all the moderators of the community and standard users will not be able to see both of these.
