How to upload an attachment to an idea

Can my community members upload files to an idea?

Yes. Users can upload certain files to an idea such as images, spreadsheets, or PDF files. To upload, first login to the IdeaScale community, then click on the idea title to get to the idea detail screen. Under Attachments, click on the "upload/attach file" button. You will have the option to leave notes that are associated with the file.

What types of files can be uploaded?

Allowed file formats include (but are not limited to):

Images: .jpg/.jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .png, Microsoft Office: doc, docx ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx xls, xlsx PDF: pdf, ps Open Office: odt, odp, sxw, sxi, etc. Text: txt, rtf

Is there a limit on file size of attachment uploads?

Yes. The maximum upload size is 20MB.
