Open Government Civic Engagement license
A special license is available for all government agencies at the state, local, and federal level. In addition, IdeaScale has signed a terms of service amendment agreement with the GSA as a template for engagement with federal agencies. If your agency does not already have this executed with IdeaScale, we've put a very simple process in place for doing this:

- Sign up for a free account at: http://ideascale.com
- Send an email to civic@ideascale.com requesting an upgrade to this license and include the email address you used to sign up.
How do I upgrade to the civic engagement license?
To get your account upgraded to the civic engagement license , please send an email to civic@ideascale.com and include the email address associated with the account you'd like to upgrade.
Note: You must be a government agency and use a government assigned email address to sign up for the account.
What features are included in this license?
The IdeaScale Civic Engagement license is a lite version of our
popular Annual license.
The following is an imcomplete list of features the Civic
Engagement license does NOT include:
• Unlimited Custom fields (Civic allows 1 custom field)
• Unlimited Moderators (Civic allows 1 moderator)
• Unlimited Admins (Civic allows 1 site administrator)
• Private Communities (content shared on Civic communities IS
indexed by Google)
• SSL/TLS Security
• Single Sign-On
• Custom Domain aliasing
• Private facebook communities
• Google Analytics
• Widgets (feedback tab)
• CSS customization

What are the limitations in terms of communities and are there any additional charges for expanding the account?
The IdeaScale Civic Engagement license includes the ability to create 1 community and 1 admin/moderator for free. Each additional community or admin/moderator is based on IdeaScale's Monthly list price ($99/month per community).
Can I delete a previously used community and create a new one?
Yes.
Can we change moderators or do we go over the 1 person limit by changing them?
Yes. You can change/edit the 1 moderators at any point.
Is the Civic Engagement License available outside of the United States?
Yes!
If we'd like to move on from the Civic Engagement License and develop a more robust IdeaScale implementation, what is the best licensing option available?
Most Government customers graduate to IdeaScale's Government
