Ideas: "Hot" Tab

What constitutes a "Hot" topic

Hot is a filter to show ideas ordered by vote count.

A. Hot Ideas : # Days Cutoff (0 = Automatic) :

The default '# days cutoff' is 0, which means 'automatic'. When in this mode the hot tab will show ideas in the last month or - if the community is less than 4 months old it will show ideas from the last X days
where X = (community age) / 4

For an example :

If the community is 8 days old, only ideas from the last 2 days will be shown. If the community is 16 days old, only ideas from the last 4 days will be shown. if the community is 80 days old, only ideas from the last 20 days will be shown. If the community is 200 days old (more than 4 months), ideas from the last month will be shown.

B. Hot Ideas: # Votes Cutoff :

The default '# votes cutoff' is 2. This means it will only show ideas with a net vote count of 2 or more.

The ideas shown are the ideas that pass both A & B filters ordered by vote count descending.
