Integration Settings: IdeaScale Widget
There are various types and styles of widgets that you can embed on your website to collect feedback and/or display ideas to your community. These allow you to embed inline widgets into your website or blog that show off the top ideas as well as a Lightbox Popup widget that allows you to put a feedback icon into your site.
What are all the different kinds of IdeaScale widgets?
- Feeback Icon: A small feedback tab that'll show up in the left middle of the page, that'll link to a lightbox pop-up that'll allow a user to submit an idea. (Suitable for website feedback)
- Hot Ideas: displays the Top 3 Ideas as well as ideas that have recently marked as complete. (Suitable for a navigation sidebar)
- Daily IdeaFix: Displays one random idea at a time and asks users to vote on it.
How can I put the IdeaScale feedback tab on my organization's website?
The widget is very easy to employ. It requires access to your website's homepage code, so you may want to contact a web manager or IT person. A link to the code snippet you will need is found in the footer of your community pages in case of Public Community only:

Note: For private communities, the widget link does not appear in the footer of the community. The Widget code can be found within your Community Settings.
Once you've copied the code, paste it into your site's HTML anywhere in the footer of your index page and save changes. Please clear your browser's cache before attempting to refresh the page.
