Difference between Global File Library and Community File Library
Global File Library has files which would be visible to all the communities while Community File Library will display files or images only for the particular community.
How can I upload Images, Logos, Multimedia Files in my Account?
You can upload images/logos/files to your IdeaScale administrative community from :
Community Settings >> Customization >> Community File Library
You can upload images/logos/files to your IdeaScale administrative account from Global File Library which shows all the images or files uploaded throughout the account.
Global File Library can be accessed from : Community Settings >> Customization >> Global File Library
You can also create new sub-folders within these libraries. These folders can be edited or deleted.
Note: The files in the sub-folder will be deleted if the folder is deleted.
List of existing files saved in the community file library. In case of private community we can also have any option of making the images viewable to public.
How many Images/Multimedia files can be uploaded?
You can upload unlimited number of files with all paid licenses. However, depending on your license level there is a limitation on the total file size.
- Free 3 MB
- SMB 50 MB
- Government 50 MB
- University 50 MB
- Enterprise 50 MB
Note: Individual file size should not exceed 1MB. Smaller the file, faster it will load up!
What are the approved file types that I can upload?
You can upload the following file types:
- .gif, .jpg, .png, .bmp
- .swf, .flv
- .avi, .mpeg
- .txt, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf
