Default Notification Preferences allow the administrator of the community to set up the preferences for all the new users. These preferences can be changed by the members as per their convenience from Profile>> Notifications.

Default Notification Preferences: Basic

  • New Ideas: This switch enables the administrator of the community to set up emails for the new ideas as per the set frequency which could be Daily, Weekly or Real-Time.
  • Receive Email Notifications for Ideas you have Created: Enabling this switch will send an email notification for ideas you have created.
  • Receive Email Notifications on Idea Stage Change: Enabling this switch will send an email notification when one of your ideas changes stage.
  • Receive Thank You e-mail for Idea Submission: This will send an email to members thanking them for submitting an idea in the community.
  • Receive Member status change e-mails: Enabling this switch will send emails to members when their status has changed. For eg. If the member was in Pending approval and now Approved.
  • Receive import report e-mails: This will send an email to the administrator only whenever an import is done in the community.
  • Receive assessment e-mails: Each assessor will receive an email for the assessment assigned to them.
  • Receive flag e-mails: The members of the community will receive flag emails if their idea has been reported as duplicate or abuse.
  • Receive private message e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email for every private message sent to them.
  • Receive group message e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email when API call "/email/group/{id}" is used. (group id will determine which group members will receive the email) This is possible only when used via API.
  • Receive private comment e-mails: Enabling this will allow Administrators, Global and Campaign Moderators to receive an email for every private comment sent to them.
  • Receive reviewscale e-mails: Each reviewer will receive an email for the reviewscale assigned to them.
  • Receive trending idea e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email for all the trending ideas in the community.
  • Receive idea e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email for all the ideas being submitted in the community.
  • Receive achievement change e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email for the badges earned.
  • Receive mention e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email for @mentions in the community.
  • Receive new comment e-mails: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email for every new comment.
  • Receive Email Notifications to Approve New members: Enabling this switch will send an email notification to approve new members joining the community.
  • Receive e-mail notifications for new Ideas: Enabling this switch will send an email notification to members when a new idea is posted in the community. This switch also needs to be turned ON to receive new Ideas approve notification.
  • Receive Broadcast Email: Enabling this switch will allow members to receive Broadcast emails sent from the community.
  • Administrators Receive Real-Time Emails when new Innovation Assistant Tips appear in reporting: As the name suggests only the administrators of the community receive emails when new Innovation Assistant Tips appear.
  • Receive Campaign Invitation emails: Enabling this switch will allow members to receive campaign invitation emails whenever a new campaign invite is sent to the members.
  • Receive Idea draft Reminder emails: Enabling this will allow members to receive idea draft emails for the ideas submitted via email.
  • Receive email notification when your idea is a top trending: Enabling this will allow members to receive an email notification when their idea is in top trending list.

Reset all members notification to match community default:

The above button helps the administrator of the community to make any changes to the default notification preferences set up earlier and applying the same to all the existing and new members of the community. This setting will also override all user's personal settings and will be the same as the community's default notification preference. 

Any new member registered after this setting has been used will match with the community's default notification preferences, however, they can change the notification setting as per their choice.

Default Notification Preferences: Advanced

  • Trending Ideas: The trending ideas of the community can be sent to all the members in the form of a weekly digest, monthly digest, or in real-time digest.
  • Community Task Notifications: Any community task in relation to the community can be received by an email notification if this setting is enabled. Enabling this will show up a new setting named Community tasks Digest Frequency.
  • Community Task Digest Frequency: This allows you to set up the frequency like daily, weekly, and monthly in which you would like to receive the email notifications.
  • Moderator Notification Digest: Enabling this setting allows the moderator of the community to receive a notification related to moderators.
  • Moderator Notification Digest Frequency: This notification can also be set up as a daily digest, weekly digest, or as a monthly digest.
  • Receive workflow executed e-mails: This will send emails to the groups or members when Notify is selected in the Automation builder and the workflow is done.
