Member Mangement will help the administrators of the community to perform all the actions available in the old Member Management setting. This transition will help you with various actions taken towards the members of the community in just a few clicks. It allows you to simply select or search the members in the search bar and take action like approve, ban, send private message and many more. You can bulk update or take action against just one member with the help of the new Member Management Panel.
The whole of the member management panel comprises of 4 main tabs.
The search bar comes with a various filters for your community. It is quick to use these filters and have the list of members you are looking for. The filters depend upon the setting of the community if there are groups, member profile field or any other filters listed below:
- Opt in
- Email Status
- Pending: Using the pending filter to find all the members whose status is pending.
- Member Status
- Connected App
- Profile Field
The below video is an example of how we can use a combination of filters to search members. The below search was used with groups and profile field answers.
- Administrators: The search command helps you to search all assigned administrators like global, custom, campaign and campaign group administrators.
- Moderators: The search command helps you to search all assigned moderators like global, campaign, group and custom field moderators.
In the following video, you can see how we can search members with the help of email addresses or usernames.
You can also sort by name, username, email, or registration date.
The action tab has all the features and actions listed in a dropdown that you can process or take for any member of the community. All you got to do is simply select the members against whom you would like the action to be taken.
1. Approve Members: Select the members you would like to approve by clicking on the check box next to the name and click on the action Approve Members.
2. Reject Members: Select the members you would like to reject by clicking on the check box next to the name and click on the action Reject Members.
3. Add to Group: You can easily add members to the group by selecting the members and using this action which will display the group names in the box.
4. Remove from Group: You can easily remove members from the group by selecting the members and using this action which will display the group names in the box.
5. Change Status: Click on the member's name and easily change the status of the members to pending, approved, or banned.
6. Private Message: The administrator of the community can send private messages to all the selected members in the community.
7. Add as Moderator: Assigning any member as a global or campaign moderator is only clicks away with this panel.
8. Add as Administrator: Assigning any member as global, campaign or campaign administrator is only clicks away with this panel.
9. Remove as Moderator: Using this action you can unassign the members that are assigned as moderators.
10. Remove as Administrator: Using this action you can unassign the members that are assigned as administrators.
11. Leaderboard: Select the members whose leaderboard information needs to be ON / OFF.
12. Ban Members: You have the option to ban multiple members or single-member at one go with this dashboard.
Please Note: Banning a member is a reversible action however when we ban a member by Forget Member or Forget Member and Submission option it is an irreversible action.
13. Idea Share: The administrator of the community can have the idea share feature enabled or disabled for members.
14. Send Password Reset: Sending password reset email is simpler by clicking and selecting only those members that require reset in one go.
15. Email Verification Code: We can now email verification code for single or multiple members by putting a tick against their name and using this action.
Quick Add tab
Use the quick add tab to add members by keying in the email address one below the other to add members in the community.
The administrator of the community can bulk upload or import members with the help of an excel sheet to their community using the import tab. While we import the members we have an option to set the group for all the members we are about to import and also would be able to disable verification email from being sent out to the members at the time of the import.
