Community allows private idea submission for the community members and only administrator, moderator, an authorized group member can access the private submission.
What is Private Idea?
An idea which only administrators, moderators, or specifically authorized groups of members can access and view in the campaign.
How to enable and submit private idea in a campaign?
Private idea submission can be enabled from:
Community Settings >> Engagement >> Campaigns >> Edit >>Basic Information >> Select Allow submissions to be 'private', only viewable to admins, moderators, and authorized groups / Force submissions to be 'private', only viewable to admins, moderators, and authorized groups
After enabling the switch, please drag & drop the field in the idea submission tool to avail this option in the idea submission form.
Private ideas can be submitted in two ways-
1.By User Choice: When Allow submissions to be 'private, only viewable to admins, moderators, and authorized groups switch is enabled, idea submitter, will have the option to select private submission in the idea submission form.
2.By Force Submission: When Force submissions to be 'private, only viewable to admins, moderators, and authorized groups switch is enabled, all ideas will be submitted privately without giving any choice to the idea submitter in the idea submission form.
Who can submit private ideas?
Community members can submit private ideas if private idea submission is enabled in the campaign (both public and private campaigns).
Who can access and view private idea submission?
Community Administrator, Global Moderator, Campaign Moderator, and specifically authorized group members can view and access private ideas.
How can I find private ideas in the community?
Community administrator, Global moderator, Campaign moderator, and specifically authorized group members can find out the private ideas from the sub-tab Private Ideas under My Ideas tab.
Idea submitter also can see their own private ideas under My Ideas.
Private ideas will always have the label “Private”.
Ideas submitted in this way will be excluded from any leaderboard points. Once submitted in this fashion ideas may not be made public.
