IdeaScale uses heavy caching to ensure that our systems scale to meet your needs. Sometimes that scalability comes with a price. In general if changes you make via the administrator settings are not reflected immediately in your community, it is because you are seeing a cached version of the site.

Affected users:

  • Community Users who view a Community after an Admin has made changes.
  • Community Users who view a Community after another Community User has made changes.

Solution

You have two options:

  • Wait - When a User's session times out, the next time they log in the site will reflect any changes.
  • Log out and log back in - When a User signs out and signs back in the site will reflect any changes.
